Nothing makes me happier than to see my patients succeed in their goals, whether it be recovering from a health issue, getting pregnant, overcoming depression and anxiety, or making a much needed life change.
It’s incredibly gratifying when I work with a patient to lay out a treatment strategy, and the patient meets me halfway by doing their “homework,” which is generally a combination of dietary and/or lifestyle suggestions. Illness is the body’s way of telling us that something needs to change, and when we actually do change, good results follow.
Not too long ago I had a new patient with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) who came for treatment because she wanted to have a baby. As successful pregnancy is very challenging with this condition, I advised the patient on changes she could make at home to improve her overall health and prepare her body for a successful pregnancy. She was determined to overcome her condition. She made the changes I suggested, came for treatment every week, and took the herbs I prescribed for her every day. Over the course of treatment she lost 40 pounds, and I could not have been happier for her the day she told me she was pregnant!
This is why I do what I do! I’m so grateful to be able to accompany my patients on their journeys to better health and fulfillment.
