Kathryn Nemirovsky is a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified herbalist with more than 15 years of clinical experience. With training in classical Chinese medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Five Element Theory. Kathryn has helped many patients with a wide variety of health concerns, specializing in reproductive health and fertility, chronic digestive and respiratoryconditions such as IBS and COPD, and conditions affecting the immune system such as chronic Lyme disease.

 

Always seeking to enhance her skills, Kathryn completed six years of post-graduate studies with Lonny S. Jarrett, esteemed practitioner and author of Nourishing Destiny: The Inner Tradition of Chinese Medicine. These studies included an emphasis onContemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, a highly-sophisticated diagnostic tool used by dedicated practitioners. She is currently enriching her knowledge of herbal medicine through study with Dr. Evan M. Rabinowitz, former director of the herbal studies program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH).

 

In addition to running her own clinic, Kathryn has served on the board of the Maryland Acupuncture Society, and co-teaches workshops nationwide on gua sha, an East Asian technique used to treat pain as well as many other conditions. Drawing on her fine arts background, she created Spirit of the Points Cards, an educational tool for students and lovers of Chinese medicine.

 

Kathryn has traveled to China in order to enhance her knowledge and understanding of the medicine, and has volunteered her time for Humanitarian Acupuncture Project, a non-profit organization in Mumbai, India that provides quality, affordable health care for those in need.
